On January 25, two 2022 doctoral students, Deqing Zhou and Wei He, completed their dissertation pre-defense at Room 412 of the Institute, while 2024 doctoral student Xiaolan Ling and 2024 master's student Qiongwen Hu presented their thesis proposals. The defense committee included Professor Shusheng Shen (Vice Dean, School of Education Science, Nanjing Normal University), Professor Xianmin Yang (Director of Human Resources, Jiangsu Normal University), Professor Zhiqiang Ma (Vice Dean, School of Education, Jiangnan University), Professor Zhilong Shan (Vice Dean, School of Computer Science, South China Normal University), Professor Xiaoyong Hu (Executive Vice Dean, The Institute of Artificial Intelligence in Education), and Professor Su Mu (Vice Dean, The Institute of Artificial Intelligence in Education). Over 40 teachers and students, including Xiaoling Hu from the School of Information Technology in Education, attended the event.

The defense followed all standard procedures required by South China Normal University. The graduate students presented their research background, literature review, content, design, and innovation points. Committee members provided comments, asked questions, and offered helpful suggestions for improvement.
